Free hand #knitting pattern: children's sweater

I've received a few emails from knitters requesting I share this pattern. So without further delay, I present...


Pumpkin Pie



Note:
In this pattern, I suggest you continue knitting from the back to the collar. There's no picking up stitches. This makes knitting a sweater much easier. But it also can result in a loosey-goosey neck. So, I'll understand if you prefer to work the collar in a more traditional method--pick up stitches or work the collar separately and then attach.

Finished sweater measurements:
Chest:  22 [26/ 28/ 32] inches
55.88 [66.04/ 71.12/ 81.28] centimeters
Length:  11 [11 / 12.5/ 14.5] inches
27.94 [27.94/ 31.75/ 36.83] centimeters

Knitting needles:  6.00 mm / US 10 OR size to obtain tension.
Yarn:  worsted weight (240 / 360 / 480/ 600) yards
Stitch holder:  one

Gauge:  4 stitches x 7 rows = one inch worked over Stockinette stitch

Stockinette stitch:
Row 1:  knit -- to end of row.
Row 2:  purl -- to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 for pattern.

seed stitch (over even number of stitches):
Row 1:  knit one, purl one -- to end of row.
Row 2:  purl one, knit one -- to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 for pattern.

Back:
Cast on 42  [52 / 56/ 64] stitches.
Work in Stockinette stitch for 11 [11/ 12.5/ 14.5] inches.
27.94 [27.94/ 31.75/ 36.83] centimeters

Cast off 10 [15/17/21] at the beginning of the next two rows to shape shoulders.
Place 22 stitches (for collar) on the stitch holder.
Work collar in seed stitch for 4 inches. 10.16 centimeters
Cast off loosely.

Front:
Cast on 42 [52 / 56/ 64] stitches.
Work in Stockinette stitch for 7 [7/ 8.5/ 10.5] inches.
17.78 [17.78/ 21.59/ 26.67] centimeters
Work 10 [15 / 17/ 21] stitches in Stockinette stitch, 22 stitches in seed stitch, 10 [15 / 17/ 19] stitches in Stockinette stitch for 1 inch. 2.54 centimeters
Neckline is worked from two balls of yarn:
1st ball of yarn (right side):  Work 10 [15 / 17 / 21] stitches in Stockinette stitch, 11 stitches in seed stitch for 3 inches. 7.62 centimeters
2nd ball of yarn (left side):  Work 11 stitches in seed stitches, 10 [15/ 17 / 21] stitches in Stockinette stitch for 3 inches. 7.62 centimeters
The beginning of the next two rows:  cast off 10 [15 /17/ 2] stitches for each shoulder.
Place 22 stitches (for collar) on stitch holder.
Work collar in seed stitch for 4 inches. 10.16 centimeters
Cast off loosely.

Sleeves (make 2):
Cast on 32 [42 / 44 / 52] stitches.
Work in Stockinette stitch for 8.5 [8.5 / 10 / 12] inches.
21. 59 [21.59/ 25.4/ 30.48] centimeters
Cast off loosely.

Pocket:
Cast on 20 stitches.
Work in seed stitch for 4 inches. 10.16 centimeters
Cast off.

Finishing:
Sew all seams.
Attach pocket and sleeves.
Weave in ends.

just finished sewing the pieces, wwent to sew them together and it looks like I missed a bit. on the picture there is a part across the shoulder in seed stitch but I don't have that, I carefully went through the pattern and cant find what I have done wrong
